Entertainment
First class entertainment is coming to the Freedom Festival’s center stage that you will not want to miss.

Military Speakers
To provide an update on the positive progress on the war on terrorism as well as to reinforce the importance of tangibly supporting and thanking our troops a number of military speakers will address the Festival attendees.

Military Vehicle Display
You and your children will love the opportunity to walk amongst an impressive military vehicle display.

Kids Care!
Children will love the Kids Care! Tent which will provide opportunities to draw pictures and write cards to the troops, while they are getting their faces painted and climbing on the inflatables that will be set up.

There is more such as the multiple food vendors and an opportunity to say “thank you” to the many active duty, veterans and military family members who will be joining the festivities. This is a day that you and your family will not want to miss.

NEW Addition To Our Family Freedom Festival Weekend
Saturday September 6, 2008, We Do Care is hosting Barrington's 1st annual 9.11 Mile Freedom Run.  This runner and walker friendly race will be special in many ways.  In remembrance of the courage, compassion, and triumph of the human spirit, that has come from the 9.11 terrorists attacks, race participants will have the chance to bring these same qualities to our beautiful yet challenging course through Barrington and Barrington Hills countryside.  Unique performance race shirts will allow for personalized messages of support and thanks to our men and women in uniform, veterans, and military families.  All the details will be announced soon...so return here often to learn more and watch for registration information.

Community Symposium
Comming October 2008

An evening exploring the ideals of democracy, freedom, & liberty.  Jacob Needleman, professor of philosophy at San Francisco State University and author of The American Soul, will be the  featured guest.  At the heart of The American Soul is a call to rediscover the timeless truths hidden within the founding vision of the American nation.

Questions to be explored include:
• What is the idea of America?
• What does America mean?
• What are the duties we have that are implied by our rights?
• What was the spiritual core at the founding of our country?
• What is freedom?
• Is democracy more than a model of government?
• What is the common greatness that we are all a part of?
