We are excited about the opportunity to help our very first repair client, Ambra, to replace her car with a more reliable one!
HERE IS A NOTE FROM AMBRA: "I hope you are doing well. I am reaching out to share some personal reflections on the journey I have been navigating lately.
It has been an incredibly challenging season, and I am doing my absolute best to overcome the odds currently stacked against me. I often find myself reflecting on the circumstances I am facing and questioning how I can best improve life for my children. My primary goal is to move us beyond a state of daily survival and into a place of stability where lack and hardship are no longer our reality.
I have been seeking guidance and clarity daily, particularly regarding which path to take next, as I often feel the weight of wanting to honor my father's legacy."
HERE IS A NOTE FROM PASTOR JONAS: "Ambra is a wonderful mother and a true servant. Even as she faces needs in her own life (she is legally deaf along with other health challenges), she continually looks for ways to help and bless others as well as serving our church. She is a passionate worshipper, she teaches children, cleans the church and does anything else that is needed. She even offered to come clean our home! (We did not take her up on that.) Ambra is currently pursuing her college degree in American Sign Language and interpretation."
MORE DETAILS: We first worked on Ambra's 2009 Chevy Traverse back in November. We got her back on the road. But, with over 300,000 miles on it, the engine is just plain worn out and is having major issues, more than the vehicle is worth. So she applied with us to have a vehicle donated to her. We are ready to do so, but no vehicles have been donated to us. So, we can either buy her one or someone can donate a reliable vehicle. We are trying to raise $5,000 to get her a nice SUV that would have room for her active kids. Or, if you know someone who has a well-loved vehicle that they'd like to donate, we can give them a federal tax credit for the Fair Market Value (FMV) of their vehicle!
