The We Do C.A.R.E. Inc. Statement of Faith
The Scriptures Inspired
The Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God. It reveals God’s redemptive purposes and provides His people with the final rule for faith, life, and practice. (2 Timothy 3:15–17; 1 Peter 1:23–25; Hebrews 4:12)
The One True God
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one in essence, equal in glory and majesty, and active in creation, redemption, and the sustaining of all things. Jesus Christ, the eternal Son, took on flesh for our salvation. (John 1:1–14; Matthew 28:18–20)
Humanity, the Fall, and Redemption
God created humanity in His image for fellowship with Him. By disobedience, hu-manity fell into sin and brokenness, becoming subject to death. Our only hope of restoration is found in Jesus Christ, who reconciles us to God. (Genesis 1:26–31; Genesis 3; Romans 5:12–21)
Salvation
a. The Work of Christ
Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, accomplished through the life, death, and resur-rection of Jesus Christ. Through His sacrifice, Christ bore our sins and opened the way for forgiveness, healing, and new life in Him. (Romans 3:24; John 3:3; Ephe-sians 2:8–9)
b. Evidence of Salvation
The inward evidence of salvation is the witness of the Holy Spirit. The outward ev-idence is a transformed life marked by love, holiness, and the fruit of the Spirit. (Romans 8:16; Matthew 7:16–20)
c. Faith and Works
We are saved by grace through faith alone. Good works flow from this salvation and will be rewarded by God, though they do not earn or secure salvation. (Ephe-sians 2:8–10; 2 Corinthians 5:10)
Water Baptism
Those who trust in Christ are called to be baptized in water as a public declaration of union with His death and resurrection and commitment to walk in the newness of life. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Acts 10:47–48)
The Lord’s Supper
The Lord’s Supper is a memorial commanded by Christ to remember His sacrifice, proclaim His death, and examine our hearts as we continue in faith. (1 Corinthians 11:24–28)
The Promise of the Holy Spirit
Believers are called to seek the fullness of the Holy Spirit, who empowers us for godly living, service, witness, and the building up of the church. The Spirit distrib-utes gifts according to His will for the common good. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4–8; 1 Corinthians 12:1–31)
Life in the Spirit
The presence and work of the Holy Spirit are shown by a growing Christlike char-acter, boldness in faith, spiritual gifts, and fruitful service. Tongues may accompa-ny Spirit-empowerment but are not required as a universal sign. (Galatians 5:16–26; Acts 2:4; 1 Corinthians 12:7–31)
The Church
The church is the body of Christ, redeemed by His blood and united by the Spirit. Every believer is part of Christ’s church, called to worship, fellowship, spiritual growth, service, and mission in the world. (Ephesians 1:22–23; 2:19–22; Hebrews 12:23)
Whole-Life Flourishing
God desires His people to walk in the fullness of life that comes from knowing Him—not as a guarantee of wealth or ease, but as the fruit of His presence, wis-dom, provision, and care.
a. Spiritual Flourishing: Growing in Christlikeness, love, holiness, and obedience. (2 Corinthians 5:17–21)
b. Mental and Emotional Flourishing: Experiencing peace, renewal of the mind, and sound judgment. (2 Timothy 1:7; Romans 12:2)
c. Physical Well-Being: Recognizing God as the giver of health and practicing wise stewardship of our bodies while trusting Him in sickness and in health. (1 Peter 2:24; Psalm 103:1–5)
d. Material Provision: Trusting God’s faithful care, practicing generosity, and stew-arding resources with integrity and gratitude—without presumption or entitlement. (Matthew 6:25–34; 2 Corinthians 9:6–11)
e. Social and Relational Flourishing: Living with grace, humility, and love toward others in all areas of life. (Proverbs 3:4; Luke 2:52)
The Blessed Hope
Jesus Christ will return visibly and gloriously. At His coming, believers who have died and those who are alive will be raised and transformed to share in His eternal kingdom. (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; 1 Corinthians 15:51–52)
Final Judgment and the Reality of Separation From God
God will judge the world with justice. Those who reject God’s gracious offer of sal-vation in Christ will face eternal separation from Him, the source of life. Scripture describes this final state with sobering imagery—including the “second death” and the “lake of fire”—expressing the seriousness of rejecting God’s kingdom and the finality of His judgment. (Revelation 20:10–15; Matthew 25:31–46)
Christ’s Reign
Jesus Christ now reigns at the Father’s right hand and will continue to reign until all things are brought under His feet and God’s new creation is revealed. In the new heaven and new earth, righteousness will dwell forever. (Ephesians 1:20–23; Rev-elation 21:1–4)
Marriage and Sexual Relations
We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant, instituted by God from the begin-ning, between one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24) It is the foundation of the family and a reflection of Christ's faithful love for His Church. (Ephesians 5:31-32)
We believe that God's design for intimate sexual expression is exclusively within the covenant of marriage between a husband and wife. We hold this conviction not in a spirit of condemnation, but in a spirit of love for God's Word and compassion for all people — recognizing that every one of us stands in need of God's grace and redemption. (Romans 3:23; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11)
We welcome all people to receive our ministry with dignity and respect, while re-maining committed to the Scriptural standards that govern our organization. (1 Co-rinthians 13:4-7; Jude 1:3)
